Facebook against discrimination in advertising. #FB

On Friday 3 July, mark Zuckerberg made an announcement, where it was stated that in the advertising campaigns on the Facebook platform will be completely prohibited discriminatory statements and positions of hatred. In addition, the social network will highlight those posts that may be useful for the society and will not violate company policy.

On his page on Facebook, mark Zuckerberg wrote, “We are expanding our policy regarding advertising is to deny the assertion that the people of a particular race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, sexual orientation, gender identity or immigration status pose a threat to the safety, health or the existence of others.” In addition, Zuckerberg said that sometimes the company does not remove posts in violation of Facebook policy, however, provided that their social importance is much higher, causing moral harm to minorities.

Innovations on Facebook aimed at combating discrimination, because experts believe that streamlined the company's policy contributes to the protection of minorities, such as refugees from countries where hostilities are taking place, migrants and other people seeking asylum. In the stop-list will get only the advertising campaign, which shows the contempt and hatred of minorities.

In his post on Facebook, Zuckerberg continues - “is often a preview of what politicians say, is in the public interest, and similarly, a news magazine reported that politicians will say we think people should be able to see for yourself on our platforms. Soon we will begin to mark some content that we do not delete because it deserves attention, and people will be able to see when it happens.”

The protests and performances of institutions, such as: Anti-Defamation League (a human rights organization "anti-defamation League of the United States"), National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (national Association for the advancement of colored people), Color of Change (organization for the protection of civil rights) and other rights activists led to the fact that Facebook forced to suspend all discriminatory advertising by the end of July 2020.

Supported the protest and companies like North Face and Verizon Communications Inc, declared that they would no longer publish any advertisement due to the incredible number of posts on the stimulation of racism, sexism and other abnormalities.

In the present, and all judgments, where the emphasis is on the nationality or race of the person it's racism. The expression shades in the direction of exclusive “female” and “male” is sexist. In the modern world it is impossible to allocate one group to the other, otherwise it will face the storm of indignation and accusations.
